The Ugandan police announced that the number of casualties in the explosion of the fuel station has increased.

Eyewitnesses reported that the explosion occurred at a fuel station in a residential area early in the morning. Bystanders were seen filling up and purchasing fuel. Emergency services did not arrive at the scene immediately to assist the affected.

Due to the rainstorm, additional difficulties arose for the rescue operation. Law enforcement officials continue to work at the scene of the incident.

"We confirm that the number of victims has increased to 20 people, including women and children," said a police representative.
